Arunai - Children of the Tides

Appearance

The Arunai usually between 5.5 and 6.5 feet. They range in size and shape. Their skin color tends to range from light tan to very dark team and even brown and nearly black. Their hair colour can run a gamut of colours from pale, nearly white blonde through browns and reds and even nearly black. About 10 percent of the population will have blue or green highlights. Hair can be curly and coarse or thin and fine. Eye color can be nearly anything, though it tends toward brown, blue or green, but never red or orange. Arunai are, by far, the most populous race in Elyon, spread to every geographical area. Because of this, there is a lot of variation in looks among the Arunai based on region.

Traits

Arunai live on average 65-75 years and reach adulthood in their late teens. They have the largest number of children, on average of any of the races. While they may be, generally, weaker than the other races and don’t have the gifts the other races have, such as dark vision, they are much more adaptable and have a much higher population.

The Arunai have a much greater diversity in, not just looks, but in talents and abilities. While every race will have members that do not fit their own racial stereotype, there is no racial stereotype for Arunai.

Lifestyle

Arunai cities and towns cover the land of Elyon and they are a mixing pot of every major race, and a few minor ones. Though Kazee are uncommon in Arunai cities, there are enough that they draw little notice other than a few second looks. Petari and Ohendi are relatively common in the cities, though the Ohendi are always watched closely as their tempers can get the better of them. That being said, Ohendi are usually welcomed in all areas of the cities.
